Colon cancer is a type of cancer that affects both men and women and  it can happen to anyone  at any stage. It is a malignant tumor that starts in cells of the colon or rectum.  

According to Colon Cancer Canada, this cancer is  the 3rd most commonly diagnosed cancer in Canada and the 2nd leading cause of death from cancer in men and the 3rd leading cause of death from cancer in women in Canada, yet it is 90% treatable when caught early. That is why getting tested for the disease before symptoms appear is so important.
