Facing any types of cancer including prostate is very difficult and can be scary to anyone whether you just found out you have one or have been living with it for a while. According to researchers, black men have a higher risk of getting prostate cancer.  The aim of HAEEDS is to create awareness about prostate cancer within the African Community in Edmonton to;

• Educate about prostate cancer
• Overcome cultural and social barriers
• Encourage regular screen with doctors for possible early detection
• Stop men dying from prostate cancer as a result
