Representing the Horn African community while welcoming anyone in need
HAEEDS is dedicated to building a more inclusive society by promoting cultural diversity and advocating for culturally appropriate public services. The organization provides community support through newcomer settlement assistance, translation and interpretation, youth tutoring, cultural language classes, summer programs, health education, anti-racism workshops, job readiness training, computer literacy, and community fundraising initiatives.
Guided by a board of directors and an Elderly Advisory Circle, HAEEDS works closely with local agencies and stakeholders to identify service gaps, remove barriers, and improve access to support for diverse communities in Edmonton.
